The Horizontal Film Oscillator (HFO) is a critical component in blown film lines, designed to randomize thickness bands that naturally occur during the blown film process. By doing so, it ensures evenly hardened wound rolls, eliminating issues like bagginess, humps, and loose ends.

Alpha Marathon offers two HFO systems:

  • Conventional HFO
  • Heavy-duty low prorfile HFO-HDLP
  • Conventional HFO: This is a cost-effective and highly efficient solution for standard blown film production.

Heavy-duty low prorfile HFO-HDLP: Specifically designed for heavy gauge and stiff films, this system features sturdy turning bars located on rings, minimizing web wandering and eliminating wrinkles. The low-profile design is ideal for applications with limited tower height or retrofit installations, and it is especially suited for downward blown-film lines.

    Features & Benefits of HFO-HDLP
    • Reinforced turning bars to prevent deflection.
    • Open center design with idler rolls minimizes web wandering.
    • Low profile design with high stability for a bubble.
    • Zero backlash driven support rings, alignment holes in each ring provide precise positional relationships between idler rolls and turning bars.
    • Float equalization air distribution system to maintain uniform film float durirng the oscillation.
    • Low maintenance for long-term reliability.
